Post-Washington

Eeeek! It's been... well. It's been almost two months since I last updated. As my son likes to say, "Whoopsie!"

My vacation in Washington was fantastic and way too short! But before I get into that, I should say that I had my job interview before I left, and I did get the position! I also aced all my final exams, ready for a fresh start with my program change this fall.

Waiting in line for hotel and meal vouchers.
Now, Washington... Goodness, it was so much fun. And not to worry because I have plenty of pictures for proof!

My physical trip to get there was an adventure. My flight out of Indy arrived a couple hours late, so when I finally got to Denver, there were no more outgoing flights to Seattle. I ended up having to stay overnight in Denver.

Late flight.

They gave me a hotel voucher, so I had to take a shuttle there. The hotel room was really nice, but it sucked not having my baggage to change clothes after a long flight.

So comfy.

The next morning when I boarded my plane, I had to wait even more because, of course, it was snowing in Denver, and they had to de-ice the plane. But I finally arrived in Seattle that afternoon where Sarah picked me and drove us to Graham where I got to see all their beautiful faces in one place!

The First Greeting.
Nathan, Ann, me, Sarah

We ate at Mongolian, then headed to the Pack House where I landed and got to meet 'n' greet all the new and old puppies!

---------------------------------

I really enjoyed staying in the camper. It was really comfortable, and it was nice to have my own place to retreat to whenever I needed. It was like living right at home. (:

After this, I have almost completely forgotten what order my days went in. haha

I got to re-meet Nathan's friend, Amanda, and meet her husband, Kyle. The most memorable time with them was going to the Japanese Steakhouse.

 Great company!

I also helped Ann with her Puppy Lifetime Expenses Project. (Official name. lol) Since she has 22 pups, a lot of them rescues, she's made it a goal to keep track of how much it costs to take care of each pup she's ever had. Lots of papers and lots of sorting. But just my type of thing. ;)

Chopsticks to hold the papers together.

Zenya wanted to help.

We were supposed to go to Packwood the day after my original arrival, but my crazy trip put a cramp in the plans. We still ended up going to the Mamaship, but it was to bring it back for the summer. First, however, foodz at Cliff Droppers. Which are the best burgers ever.
I also got to try their black licorice milkshake. Not as terrible as it sounds (not terrible at all). It does turn your tongue black/blue though.

And then...
Ann, Nathan, and I decided to pull a joke on Argo (who was driving the Mamaship). We stopped to drop Ann off to pretend to be a hitchhiker when Argo caught up and drove by. Well, he did stop. But he didn't move again. The Mamaship's brakes locked because of some malfunction, and we couldn't get it to unlock. So, Nathan and I left to take care of the puppies while Ann and Argo waited on the tow. The towers finally arrived approximately 8 hours later. But Ann and Argo used their time wisely.

We even had a social fire so that I could see some of the other Washington peeps. I got to attempt to chop wood with an axe for the first time. And then there were hot dogs, s'mores, and crab dip stuff. Nomzz.

         Happy fiiire, foodz, and people.

There was also the Swap Meet where cool bumper stickers were gotten, yummy Cliff Droppers was eaten, and super, fantastic hippie hoodie and wolf blankets were commandeered.

The small children in above photo were hecka adorable.

Soo, those are the trip highlights. We also did other stuffs intermittently throughout my trip.
Such as...

Gaming:

Hot tub and pool:

And shopping:

Nathan seems to be the life of the shopping parties. haha

I could probably spend forever trying to remember and write this post on what I did and experienced while I was there. The whole trip went so smoothly, and I had so much fun while I was there. I can't wait til I go again next year, hopefully with Nate and Alexander. (:
